The French chanteuse who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 for Luxembourg, Corinne Hermès, will be performing her winning entry “Si la vie est cadeau” on the London Eurovision Party 2018 stage at Café de Paris, Leicester Square on Thursday, 5th April. This exciting announcement is made in conjunction with event sponsor OGAE UK who are delighted to be able to confirm Corinne Hermès’s appearance at our event.
Luxembourg’s fifth win!
“Si la vie est cadeau” led to Luxembourg’s fifth Eurovision win in 1983 when the contest was held in Munich, West Germany. The song, written by Jean-Pierre Millers and Alain Garcia, gave the young 22-year-old performer her breakthrough on the international stage.
In a statement made by the OGAE UK fan club, they describe their delight at bringing a Eurovision winner to London this year as part of their event sponsorship:
“OGAE UK, the home of the UK’s Eurovision fans, and now the world’s biggest Eurovision club, is delighted to be a sponsor of the London Eurovision Party for the third consecutive year. This is always one of the highlights of the year, and therefore we’re excited to be bringing a Eurovision WINNER to London! Corinne Hermes is a fantastic singer and Si La Vie Est Cadeau remains a fan favourite, so we can’t wait to see her perform live on stage at the Café de Paris”
Corinne Hermès said:
“I am so excited to be taking part at the London Eurovision Party. This is the one of the most prestigious events in the Eurovision calendar, and I am honoured to have my participation made possible thanks to OGAE UK.
